Welcome to Mark White Elementary!
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of Mark White Elementary and to join the incredible Wolf Pack community. I am excited to partner with our students, families, staff, and community members as we work together to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
Originally from Belize, Central America, I was raised with a strong appreciation for hard work, perseverance, family, and the transformative power of education. These values have guided me throughout my more than 22 years in education and continue to shape my commitment to serving students and supporting educators.
After earning a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, I began my career in the corporate sector with Humana Health Care. Following my move to Houston, I discovered my true calling in education. I began as a Behavior Adjustment Class teacher before teaching Mathematics and English Language Arts. These classroom experiences inspired me to pursue leadership opportunities where I could positively impact teaching and learning on a broader scale.
Throughout my career, I have served as a Teacher Specialist, mentoring and coaching educators to strengthen instructional practices and improve student outcomes. After earning my master's degree in Educational Leadership, I became an Assistant Principal, where I gained extensive experience in instructional leadership, campus assessment, special education, student support, and school operations. Each role has reinforced my belief that every student can achieve at high levels when provided with strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful opportunities to succeed.
As principal, my vision is to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Together, we will foster a culture of excellence built on collaboration, respect, and a shared commitment to student success.
I firmly believe in two guiding principles: "Do it to the best of your ability" and "Nothing worth having comes without hard work." These beliefs inspire my leadership and reflect the expectations I have for myself, our staff, and our students.
I look forward to building meaningful partnerships with our families and community as we continue to make Mark White Elementary a place where every student thrives.
